This bustling spot in the Leslieville district strives to be a one-stop-shop for all your vintage needs. Eschewing the classical and romantic periods of centuries long forgotten, Zig Zag instead focuses on that bastion of modernism and post-modernism: the 20th century. You could literally outfit an entire house with everything in here, but if you see something you like, grab it fast because items here tend to move at the speed of light.
The Future Was Upon Us!
The quality is good, everything is authentic and the prices are surprisingly reasonable. Brand name items mingle with good quality no-name pieces. Rare pieces like an Arne Jacobsen Egg chair are known to appear from time to time. But items like a 1970s glass coffee table (with chrome and steel frame) turn up more frequently. There are large items like sofas and chairs and dining room sets as well as plenty of accessories like wall clocks and all sorts of knick knacks. For those looking for the future in the past, there are plenty of 60s and 70s “futuristic” items like “space-age” wall clocks, lighting, Hi-Fis and televisions.
