Profile

Bright lights, big city
Located on the fourth floor of the landmark Toronto Life Square, Woo Restaurant & Lounge is like a complex within a complex. A truly huge space that can seat more than 300 people, Woo is artfully designed for modern sensibilities. Cast in shades of fuchsia, cream, and walnut, the layout flows from one space to another seamlessly. There are four distinct areas to Woo—a lounge fitted with horseshoe booths is backed by a transparent wall of stacked wine glasses, which act as a sort of partition between it and the dining room. The main area is rimmed with more booths that overlook the electric square below, while more contemporary seating makes up the centre. A large patio offers the crème de la crème of al fresco ambiance, accessible via the main room and the private area.

A spread of global vittles
Presenting Torontonians with global vittles, buffet-style, Woo ensures that the greater public won’t go hungry. A spread of Pan-Asian cuisine is provided by stainless steel stations, spanning Japanese and Chinese fare, but also with choices in International and Continental dishes. From California rolls and sashimi, sweet and sour pork and mango chicken, won-ton soup and clam chowder, giant chicken wings and prime rib, grilled chicken and mussels, there’s plenty of choice for the differing palates of its clientele. An array of sliced fruit and an extensive salad bar is contrasted with sweeter selections of ice cream and cake.
