At Westville Flower Shop, the flowers take centre stage, standing out against wood-framed shelving and the natural tones of the shop’s cozy interior. Blooms are bought daily from the market to ensure freshness. Even the pleasing fragrance in the shop has drawn praising remarks from customers. The most unique feature, however, are the floral arrangements. Having been a floral designer in Korea for 12 years, the owner/designer offers both Asian-style arrangements and Western-style designs. Since she doesn’t work from a set pattern or template, unless otherwise requested, each design is unique and special. From basket designs and centrepieces to seasonal flowers and bouquets, the shop provides arrangements for every type of event.

A small, family-owned business, Westville Flowers is mostly staffed by family members, which adds a personal touch to their customer service. Although many of the shop’s customers are nearby residents, some are satisfied customers from outside of the West Village neighbourhood, who have visited the store before — including some from as far away as France and Vancouver.
Competitive Costs and Guaranteed Delivery
With five or six other flower shops in the area, prices are kept very competitive. Potted items are priced lower than in surrounding shops. The owner even waives the designer fees, except in the case of weddings, since they are time-intensive. The shop also offers a very dependable delivery service. Although delivery fees are a little more expensive, the shop guarantees the arrival time and the condition of the flowers.
