Part of the neighbourhood
Located just north of Bathurst subway station, this quaint ice-cream/coffee shop is quickly becoming a popular hang-out amongst the locals of the Annex neighbourhood. Outside, there is a patio that is open during the summer months. Inside the small shop, the décor is sparse, vintage and mismatched. This creates an aura of hip relaxation.
Simple but never boring
The menu is pretty simple: coffee, ice-cream, some pastries and a small selection of sandwiches, but that doesn’t mean it’s boring. The coffee comes from all over the world and is available in all styles. Same goes for the ice-cream, which is, yes, available for breakfast! For those not looking for a massive caffeine and sugar rush, there’s a nice selection of pastries and sandwiches all made from local suppliers.
Feel good about your purchase
Some other important highlights include the environmentally safe take-out containers used here, so you can get yours to go and still feel good about reducing your carbon footprint. The free (with a purchase) Wi-Fi internet is also a major attraction and at any given time of day, you’ll often see a collection of busy writers hard at work.
