Restaurant quality
Tap Phong is hard to miss, even amongst the hustle-bustle of Chinatown. It takes up two storefronts and is full to the brim with restaurant supplies as well as kitchen and home furnishings. Massive storage tubs are out front, and when you step in the door you’ll see food processors, which are mostly by respected brands like Hamilton-Beach and Cuisinart. Knife sets by the popular Henckel are priced to move. There is an entire room dedicated to stainless steel pots—everything from tiny to the sort of pot you’d need to cook down a cow or make soup for the army.
More than just pots and pans
You’ll find long rows of all sorts of dish sets from all over the world and a range of quality and prices. Chinese and Japanese tea sets, sushi sets and Saki sets are all available. For a bit of Asian inspiration, Buddha statues and figurines, grass mats, a small selection of Japanese screens are in stock, too. Everything is packed tightly here, and the selection is huge, so expect to spend a while searching for what you’re after.
