A local institution originally known for ski equipment, running shoes, racquet sports gear and fashion apparel, Sporting Life has expanded to offer every product category for the athletic-minded. The store was established in 1979, gradually becoming a centre for sports education, connected to its community. There is also one spin-off location exclusively dedicated to bikes and boards.
Fashion is a big part of Sporting Life, with the latest clothing styles for every activity, plus casual looks from the likes of Tommy Hilfiger, In-Wear, Joseph Abboud, Mexx, Calvin Klein, DKNY and more. There are over 200 different brand names represented in the store aisles, like Bogner, the North Face, Patagonia and Ralph Lauren, along with equipment for all seasons from Nike, Salomon, Rossignol, Burton, Specialized, Cannondale, Rollerblade and beyond. The store is also renowned for sponsoring activities and supporting sports-minded organizations, including providing technical support to the National Ski Team.
Sporting Life has built customer relationships by not just selling the merchandise, but supporting the opportunities to get the most out of the experience. Families are rewarded with free shoes after a dozen purchases, free hot waxes are offered for skis and snowboards, winter sports equipment for kids can be exchanged for a store credit when they’re outgrown, and loyal racquet sports players can get a free set of string installed for every three that they purchase.
