Polson Pier (a.k.a. The Docks)
Located along the eastward wharf on the shores of Lake Ontario, the multifarious entertainment complex formerly known as The Docks has changed its name and added some new activities to its roster. For a bite, a cocktail, or some ping pong, Cabana offers a unique northerly view of the cityscape on its 41,000 square foot patio. For private affairs, the Solarium provides 5,750 square feet of space of glass, with a retractable ceiling, fireplaces and two patios. The Playground features a plethora of activities; beach volleyball, human foosball, gladiator jousting, drive-in double features, 18-hole miniputt, an obstacle course, billiards, rock climbing, a swimming pool, an indoor soccer field, a skate park and a waterfront driving range. Accessible by land or sea, Polson Pier is 23 acres of fun in the sun.

But Wait – There’s More!
Last, but not least, Sound Academy doubles as a club and a concert venue. Renovated and updated with superior sound and lighting technology, the main room is comprised of 7,500 square feet of space that can accommodate up to 2,600 audiophiles. For a somewhat more intimate showing, Sound Academy II is an offshoot of the larger room (and can be used as an extension to the main event) with a capacity of 900 guests. What’s more is Sound Academy is streamlined in such a way that the audience always has a good view of the stage. Open through September to May for special events and gigs, Sound Academy keeps the doors open all summer long with club nights from Friday to Saturday with DJs spinning all sorts of beats—mash-ups, hip hop, reggae, old school and beyond.
