A division of Reitmans Canada Ltd., RW & Co is both a lifestyle brand and chain of retail stores selling men’s and women’s fashions and accessories. With three locations in the GTA, shoppers can visit them at the Eaton Centre, Fairview Mall, and the newest location at Yonge and Bloor downtown. The Eaton Centre location is found on Level One, with men’s outfits to the left and women’s to the right. The store’s unique store environment concept encourages customers to shop and linger, with CD listening stations and a central lounging area, which is ideal for partners not exactly in the shopping mood. Some of the retail stores also have water bars and “artist inspiration centres” to further place emphasis on the experience that is shopping. Surrounding the central couches, you’ll find several fixtures with accessories, feature items. and sale or clearance racks for both genders. The bulk of the casual-semi-formal wear fills chunky cubby holes and cabinets on the walls.
Though their lines change on a seasonal basis, RW & Co generally appeals to shoppers with a taste for semi-formal, casual, and comfortable mid-price-range clothing. With versatile colors like neutral blacks and whites, earth tones, creams, olives, and muted blues and reds, the brand creates several shirts, sweaters, khakis, and jeans that are designed to work well in chic ensembles. Blazers, dress shirts, and half-zip sweaters are common choices in their men’s lines. They also have a number of belts with a variety of slick buckles and clasps, as well as gloves, scarves and hats during the appropriate seasons. As per usual, women have slightly more choice in terms of fabrics and colors, including silks, laces, and velvets, as well as brighter reds, purples and greens. You can always check out their fashion lines in advance on their website, and most Canadian Fashion magazines contain ads for RW & Co’s latest styles.
