A genuine Italian dining experience is the priority of Peppino’s on the Beach, celebrating the diversity of Mediterranean flavours with its fresh seasonal ingredients. An intimate meal here can feel like part of an exotic excursion within the city limits. Peppino’s is also a full service catering company specializing in hot or cold platters for small functions, and full menus for weddings and other events.
The appetizer list from Peppino’s on the Beach starts with daily soup, mixed green salad with sliced strawberries, and sautéed P.E.I. mussels or calamari over house made focaccia bread. Thinly sliced veal, encrusted goat cheese, sardine fillet, salmon tartar and lamb skewers are other meal-starting choices. Creative pasta options include the sautéed orecchiette, homemade fettuccine and sautéed agnolotti. Risottos are made with pumpkin, roasted beet and a combination of calamari, mussels and black tiger shrimp in a tomato sauce. For the main entrées, there’s grilled chicken supreme, veal involtini, black maple glazed pork tenderloin, Merlot-braised New Zealand lamb shank, pan-seared Alberta beef tenderloin or pan-seared Atlantic salmon, plus the daily fish catch.
Peppino’s takes just as much pride in the dessert menu. Choices include Lindt chocolate mousse, fresh vanilla bean crème brûlée, homemade tiramisu, vanilla ice cream and raspberry sorbet. The catering side of the kitchen prepares everything from Thai spring rolls, to skewers of tiger shrimp, to chicken potato curry, allowing for Peppino’s gourmet tastes to be experienced off the premises.
