One of the oldest Greek restaurants on the Danforth and situated on the eastern edge of Greektown, Patris Restaurant first opened its doors in 1982. Furnished with casual elegance in rich dark-brown woods, the 90-seat-capacity dining room exudes a quaint, comfortable, family-oriented vibe. The open patio area seats an additional 60 people. The friendly waitstaff work hard to ensure that you feel welcome and at home.
Authentic Mediterranean and Greek Cuisine
Patris offers a wide variety of traditional Greek and Mediterranean style dishes, such as youvetsi (a kind of baked ragout) and pastitsio (a casserole of meat layered with pasta). The most popular dishes include moussaka, souvlaki (shish kebab) and roasted lamb. For the variety and great taste, the food is very reasonably priced.
A Glimpse of Greece
The taste of traditional Mediterranean and Greek food won’t be the only thing to make you feel like you’re in Greece. The restaurant’s décor of a ship’s wheel and paintings of the Mediterranean seaside also gives an impression of being on a cruise ship, sailing along the Greek coast.
