Café Authenticity
Freshly baked baguettes, leavened bread, pastries, cakes, tarts, sandwiches, quiches and more are freshly baked at Pain Perdu, an award-winning bakery, patisserie and café. Also featured is the grilled ham and cheese sandwich known as the croque monsieur, and the genuine French toast that gives the restaurant its name. The entire menu is available for breakfast, lunch, and take-out orders.

Sweet Treats
Pain Perdu’s offerings are designed in the bakery in the back of this family business. Cakes and tarts are available in single servings, or in sizes to serve four or six people. The pain perdu is served with crème Anglaise, maple syrup and fresh berries. Confit de Canard is a daily lunch fixture, along with other meats and cheese sandwich combinations. And, on the sweet side, confitures are made with various fruit flavours, and fresh biscuits come savoury or sweet, buttered or nutty. Coffees, teas and hot chocolate complement all the edibles.

Decadent Delights
The bakery at Pain Perdu is a source of the sweet viennoiseries, traditional breads, and gateau basques available to sit down or bring home. Miniature sucres and sales, chocolate aiguillettes and homemade vinaigrette are also among the authentic French creations made in this delectably decadent setting.
