The traditional menu features delicacies like DownPatrick stew, Galway Guinness steak and mushroom pie and the Lonsigh style of fish and chips battered in Kilkenny. Irish roasted salmon, Guinness stout sausages and mash, chicken pot and Shepherd’s pie, and surf and turf are some other homestyle specialties, along with Indian butter chicken.
Best With Beer
Most of the so-called starter items at the Overdraught are designed to taste their best with beer: Chicken wings, stout sausages, crab cakes, potato nachos and baked brie are served in generous portions, along with chicken tenders, tomato bruschetta, calamari, vegetable crudite, Irish poutine and shrimp cocktail. Flatbread pizza comes with grilled vegetarian toppings, or grilled smoked chicken. A bowl of seafood chowder or French onion soup can accompany a salad with fajita beef or chicken, Caesar or Cobb salad, or basic tossed greens.
Food For Fun
Sandwiches from the Overdraught are filled with time-tested combinations: French beef dip, corned beef, grilled chicken, steak and country pork are featured between the bread, along with the Santa Fe smoked chicken wrap and the signature burger. All-you-can-eat mussels are served on Wednesdays and promotional events include party packages and trivia game prizes.
