Some of the city’s most authentic Mexican cuisine is served up at this mainstay of the Baldwin Street village, where margaritas on the rooftop patio have become a summertime tradition. The laid-back party atmosphere is maintained throughout the year, providing lots of festive fiesta warmth and camaraderie even during the depths of winter. Strawberry raspberry, coconut, mango banana, peach and watermelon are the flavours on the margarita menu, along with the traditional lime with salted rim. Parties large and small make this a favorite place for after work drinks, or a nightcap to drink up the fun from a shapely glass.
A Taste of Mexico
Guacamole with chips and salsa, authentic nachos, totopos, bruschetta and calamari are the natural choice of appetizers. Along with a soup of the day, there’s sopa de pozole (corn and chicken) and black bean soups. Quesadillas, burritos, chimichanga, enchiladas and tostadas come with a choice of filling: chicken, beef, sausage or vegetarian. Seafood dishes include shrimps or mussels sautéed in varied flavours and calamari sautéed in tomato sauce.

The main course list from Margarita’s spans the definition of Mexican food: Mole Con Pollo are strips of chicken breast sautéed in rich mole salsa, made with bittersweet chocolate, nuts, exotic herbs and spices and sprinkled with sesame seeds. Mole Verde Con Pollo is chicken breasts sautéed in a green tomatillo, jalapeno and pumpkin seed sauce. Chile Relleno is roasted peppers stuffed with beef or veggies. Camarones Tropicanasare black tiger shrimps sautéed in a coconut tomato sauce. Steak and seafood platters and deluxe or vegetarian fajitas add further sizzle to the agenda. And every taste is available for take-out.
