Dundas decor
The interior is a mixture of slick and kitsch. The dimly-lit bar is home to display collections of big, black ‘80s-era boom boxes, Value Village trophies and all-around old school décor. Take a seat in a nubbly plaid straight-back or curl into a faux leather shell chair on a swivel base. Tables are made of the repurposed flooring from a local bowling alley The modern take on a vintage rec room is such a throw back to your childhood, you might feel a little odd ordering a beer.

Music for many tastes
DJ’s spin it all, so there’s no sense in trying to pin down this bar’s “scene.” You’ll hear everything including pop, electro, classic tunes and more. It’s a feast for the ears…and the eyes. Every second Tuesday of the month, the bar, in tandem with Rue Morgue Magazine, hosts Ghouls Night Out — an evening of horror film screenings. If you’re not into slasher films, check out the offerings on the last Saturday of each month, when the Soviet Film Club screens some of their favourites.

Brunch worth getting out of bed for
Primarily an evening hangout, Margaret’s weekend brunch used to be one of the few things that could lure patrons back to Dundas in the early hours of the morning. Unfortunately, the bar doesn’t do brunch anymore, but there is a silver lining. They removed the kitchen to make way for the path to their new patio. You might not be able to drown your morning-after sorrows in mimosas anymore, but your summer nights will be a little cooler. Late night snacking options include meat and cheese plates, nuts, and fruit.
