Why spend a wad on jewellery designed in New York or Europe, when Toronto has so much to offer? Made You Look specializes in jewellery created right in TO, with a gallery representing around 60 local designers. These include the clean, elegant creations of Kim Drosdick, the inset stone pieces of Kathryn Dieroff and the hardwood and metal handiwork of Chet Culham, to name just a few.
Local Aesthetics
Adornments of all types can be found at Made You Look – necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, bangles, hair accessories, and in all manner of shapes, colours, sizes and styles. Should nothing seem quite right, Made You Look actually has 12 designers working on-site who can custom create what customers want – or just tweak what might be an almost-perfect piece on display. Made You Look even provides change rooms so that jewellery can be tried on with different outfits, to make sure that everything is just so.
Lots to Look At
Made You Look’s space is as unique and bric-a-brac as the adornments on display. Customers get up close and personal to the works in progress, with the expansive artists’ workspace visible from the retail floor through a latticed window frame. In the retail area, bold, modern modular displays combined with visible industrial ductwork contrast with a large antique wood table centerpiece, exposed brick walls and hardwood floors.
