A classic Canadian English-styled pub, Loons is one of the High Park neighbourhood’s most reputably comfortable establishments. Staying true to its patrons, the dark wood finishing (offset by some rather striking colours on the walls) is highlighted with memorabilia and prints that honour the community’s history. Similarly, the spirits, wine and draught beer choices are straight-forward, a nod to the regular patrons who enjoy the bar’s easy-going, simple nature.
Weekend Festivities
Which is not to say that Loons is never loud. Weekend festivities do kick the bar up a notch as music, food specials and drinks flow fast and loose on the sizeable patio, leaving the bar’s interior for those still wishing to enjoy themselves peacefully. And in typical pub fashion, Loons ensures that virtually every night features its own draw, from half-price wings to fajita nights and the ever-popular weekend brunch.
