One of the city’s best Korean food spots, Korean Grill House is the first restaurant to bust out from suburban barbecue chains. For downtown carnivores, it offers many all-you-can-eat, cook-it-yourself barbecue specials. The dinner menu features unlimited pork, chicken, beef ribs, ox tongue, ox liver, salmon, squid, and fish fillets. Its lunchtime deal and Night Owl special (from 10 p.m. to closing) includes pork, chicken, squid, and fish fillets. A special, secret soy sauce sits on every table, waiting to be used as a dip or marinade. Korean side dishes — rice, soup, deep fried tofu, bean sprouts, marinated bean sprouts, pickled radish, and spicy kimchee — complement your meal.
Cooked Cuisine
For those who prefer already cooked entrées, Korean Grill House hosts a menu of Korean favourites. You can choose from an assortment of Bibm bahb—which is marinated meat or seafood on rice, fried or vermicelli noodle soups, or bento boxes. Its vegetarian spread includes green salads, mixed vegetable Bibm bahb, or mixed vegetables on fried or soup noodles.
Made for Grilling
This grill house is outfitted with high ceilings and ventilation ducts to suck up smoke. Whitewashed tables with built-in gas grills provide little room for appetizers and raw items. Luckily, all dishes and trays are conveniently stackable and helpful servers are always on hand to clear out unused items.
