Not Just for Souvlaki
The Danforth has changed a great deal over the last decade, gone are many of the greek coffee shops and the butchers and pastry shops. A few have survived this new area for families and the urban hip, but a new type of venue has emerged on the Danforth; the cool bar. Ice Lounge is contemporary and has a patio that makes people watching on this busy avenue ideal.

A Greektown Local
This is a place that attracts a lot of the old danforth Greek gang, people looking for a sleek bar, and those wanting a patio at the main intersection of Riverdale. It’s almost all white; white modern chairs, a plexiglass bar with blue under lighting and white chaises lounges to make your visit all the more comfortable. They have marble floors, and umbrellas for when the sun beats down on the side patio.

Downtown Vibe
Just a few blocks from Pape subway station, this club is close for those who want to make it a night full of patio cocktails. If you get hungry there are lots of local favourites to choose from; like Athens’ Pastries and, yes a souvlaki place or two as well. With two rooms, and the 160 seat patio they can also accommodate events, private parties, corporate gatherings.
