The greatest desires of most men are fulfilled at the House of Lancaster, which combines sports on the big screen with women disrobing both on stage and at the tables. Locations at Bloor and Dufferin (1215 Bloor Street West) and in Etobicoke (689 Queensway) have been consistently satisfying gentlemen out for celebratory drinks, looking for a sideshow while watching a big game, or just looking to unwind. Stag parties are the House of Lancaster’s specialty, with in-house coordinators available to help plan the event, party platters served up for the guests and a designated waitress to serve the gang in their V.I.P. seats. A group of 20 or more is awarded with two airline tickets for the guest of honour to visit a resort destination, ideally accompanied by the woman they are marrying.
Delectable Dishes
The House of Lancaster’s kitchen serves up delicacies to accompany all the sports and stripping action. Starters include a regular or Cajun chicken Caesar salads, mixed green or salad of the day. There’s a soup du jour on the pot alongside the perennial French onion. Finger foods on the menu include chicken wings, chicken fingers, tiger shrimp cocktail, onion rings, French fries and a combo platter that serves up to eight people. Specialty sandwiches made to order range from smoked chicken to steak on a baguette, club house to Italian veal, chicken souvlaki on a pita to the “Sir Loins” burger available with sautéed mushroom and onion. The entrée options include grilled salmon, grilled chicken breast, New York strip loin, apple rosemary chicken, veal scaloppini, ginger chicken stirfry, linguini, rib eye steak, baby back ribs and penne tomato basil.
Business and Pleasure
Naturally, the House of Lancaster’s bar pours plenty of beer, shots, wine and cocktails, along with non-alcoholic options. There are also several celebratory bottles, all the way up to Moet, Dom Perringon and Crystal. The club provides VIP service for out-of-town business guests that allow them to bypass any lineups without a cover charge, and get premium lounge seating while being catered to by a personal host, while guaranteeing that all credit card transactions appear under a discreet name and purchases qualifying as deductible expenses.
