World class
Directly connected to the Hamilton Convention Centre, Hamilton Place is internationally known for its superb acoustics. The theatre can be used for special presentations, opening and closing ceremonies, entertainment programming, and a variety of other meeting requirements. Hamilton Place not only offers two distinctly sized venues – the Great Hall and the Studio Theatre – but full catering services. Indeed, between these facilities and its central location, the venue is extremely popular with promoters, performers, and audiences alike.

The Great Hall
Seating up to 2,181 spectators, the Great Hall is the mainstay of Hamilton place. One of North America’s most expansive and acoustically superior halls, it is designed as a proscenium stage and can be adapted to a concert hall. Specially designed to deliver optimal acoustical results for each of the performing arts, the stage provides clarity and brilliance for both spoken and musical performances. The orchestral level can accommodate 1,193, and the first and second balconies hold 560 and 428 respectively.

The Studio Theatre
A more artistic setting, the Studio Theatre lies adjacent to the Great Hall and is independently operated. It offers retractable seating for up to 350, and can even be adapted for cabaret style seating. Particularly suited to performances and events that require more intimacy and versatility, the Studio Theatre is used for a variety of theatrical productions, lectures, presentations, reviews, and rehearsals.
