Bistro Fare, Global Approach
Towering ceilings, exposed brick and a bowling alley floor work together to create the unforgettable atmosphere of Globe Bistro. The space includes a small bar, an open kitchen and a chef’s table. Globe Bistro was named as such due to notes of global flavours in the menu and the diversity of the tastes of Toronto. The food elevates the neighbourhood bistro to the next level.

Tapas Are Made for Sharing
For lighter appetites, and those who want to sample from many smaller plates, there is the tapas menu, which features highbrow bar food like chicken wings (but in an espresso sauce), frites and the curious sounding “Corndog Thingy” with Globe mustard. The tapas menu is by no means all pub grub – there are also echoes of the mains menu, with smaller plates of seafood items on offer.

Remarkable Mains
Appetizers include lighter finger food like crab empanadas and those that eat like a meal, like Atlantic Malpeque oysters, Berkshire pork belly and seared Yarmouth scallops. Mains include classic standbys like lobster, chicken supreme and rib-eye steak, but are prepared with decadent add-ons like minted ricotta pillows and Ermite blue cheese foam. Other, more remarkable mains, include Moroccan-style oxtail, roasted caribou leg and pickerel from Georgian Bay.

Decadent Desserts
The dessert menu may cause you the most pause; with choices like shoo-fly cake, apple gingerbread trifle and the deadly assassination by chocolate cake, you may want to ask your guests to indulge so that you can sample more than just one.
