The Gentle Care Wellness Centre, one of few such clinics in the Scarborough Southwest area, popped up at the intersection of Kingston Road and Morrish Road in the early 2000s. Bringing holistic health services to an area not usually known for health consciousness and alternative care, Gentle Care Wellness Centre has received considerable attention for their attempts to share their expertise in the alternative healing arts to a new audience.
Practitioners for Every Ailment
With a smallish roster of practitioners, Gentle Care Wellness Centre manages to offer a very wide range of therapeutic services, ranging from the very hands-on to the very hands-off – and they are continually growing, actively looking for like-minded professionals to join their roster. The current list already includes massage therapy by a registered massage therapist, cranial sacral therapy – a discipline born out of psychotherapy in which energy blocks in the cranium and spine are gently massaged and released in order to address less easily attended health concerns such as chronic pain and lowered vitality – acupuncture, reflexology, aromatherapy, and even hypnotherapy.
