Water World
Amenities include a staffed security gate, a store that sells everything from ice, to burgers, to firewood and modern washroom and shower facilities. Of course, the kids won’t have much of a chance to get dirty once they find the water park. Emerald Lake’s on-site water park boasts a 200-foot waterslide, a rubber-topped splashpad and a kiddie pool. Older kids can enjoy the park’s spring-fed quarry, complete with high and low diving boards, or rent a paddleboat for the afternoon. Emerald Lake’s recreation centre serves as homebase for all kinds of planned activities like card games, reunions and dances.

Sports Central
This is the perfect campground for the sports enthusiast. You have your choice of three baseball diamonds, two basketball courts, four Bocci ball courts, 18 beach volleyball courts and two horseshoe pits. Park personnel lend out a small supply of balls and other equipment but guests are encouraged to bring their own. If you’re not into sports, check with staff members to find out about any family events that may be in the works for the week.

Surrounded by Sights!
Visit Hamilton’s Royal Botanical Gardens and African Lion Safari. You’ll find the charming Farmers Market in nearby St. Jacobs, and Niagara Falls and Marineland are just down the highway. If you prefer to stay closer to (temporary) home, sightsee in downtown Cambridge or take a trip to Sports World. This active entertainment complex offers arcades, driving ranges and batting cages.
