Down One Lounge & Billiards is a super casual, low stakes place to hang out with friends. Serving up pub grub favourites and pitchers of beer alongside fancy mixed cocktails for girls in slinky shirts, this bar offers a fresh approach to the lounge scene without the pretension of its competition.
It’s Pub Perfect
The menu at Down One Lounge is light and basic, including items such as garlic bread, wings, pizza, nachos, fish and chips, chicken fingers, spring rolls and the like – all of which perfectly complement the sports one often finds playing on the large screen televisions. With good food and big TVs, Down One Lounge appeals – not surprisingly – to neighbourhood sports fans, particularly on weeknights.
Keeping People Happy
Aside from the fancy cocktails that keep patrons partying, Down One features an aquarium smoking lounge. There are, of course, nightly themes keep things interesting. While Wednesdays host a mix of a DJ and live band, Thursdays go all out electronic with dub/reggae and drum and base. Both nights, moreover, feature free entrance. The weekends hype up a bit with more hip-hop, funk, dancehall, and the like, and Saturdays are free entrance for ladies. During the week, moreover, Down One features after work happy hour specials and accepts private bookings for those looking to entertain the office in whole, or merely in part.
Tip: This cool bar is a popular spot for private parties, and corporate get togethers.
