From Soap to Spa
Famous for its soap and beauty products, Dove has now opened two spas in the Greater Toronto Area, including one in Oakville. With ample financial backing and a good knowledge of what customers expect, Dove has done predictably well. Dove Spa is a midrange choice for the masses, offering treatments at all price ranges for just about anyone. There is a full line-up of spa services for men and women, from traditional massage to hair removal to cleansing holistic treatments.
Serene Atmosphere
Oakville's Dove Spa was designed by famous architect Ramsin Khachi. With drop ceilings, rounded corners, special lighting, wave wall, and candles, it projects a comfortable ambiance. While painted cleanly-white, it skilfully avoids the “clinical” feel. To keep noise levels down, the floors are constructed from state-of-the-art material that muffles the sound of tapping heels. Next to its treatment rooms, the spa has a lounge where you can sip tea or cucumber water and socialize with other patrons.
Holistic Concept
Treatments cover the body, face, hands and feet, with many variants of cosmetic and stress-relieving treatments to choose from. The latter category includes common massages (Swedish, hot stone) as well as more exotic options such as the Indian Head Massage or Moor Mud therapy. Hair removal is taken care of with an Infrared Pulsed Light machine. Facials can be anything from the basic fare (glycolic acid peels, makeup, eye treatments) to completely personalized sessions where you're free to micro-manage.
