Profile Last Updated: June 27, 2008
Coppi Ristorante is a romantic, upscale Italian restaurant dedicated to providing a simple, authentic, and delicious dinner. Dishes aren’t overwhelmed with different spices and flavours, but prepared in the same way as in Italy: with just a few spices per dish, so as not to overwhelm the senses. Though the culinary offerings at the restaurant have grown, the original vision of simple and delicious food has remained.
Direct From Italy
When possible, ingredients are imported directly from Italy, such as the fragrant black and white truffles and an array of fish from the Adriatic coast. The restaurant also imports more humble ingredients like cheeses, prosciutto and even cherry tomatoes from specific regions of Italy. Together, they all combine to create an authentic Mediterranean menu that goes perfectly with the warm and outgoing atmosphere.
Fresh Food, Three Courses
Coppi Ristorante’s menu is organized to encourage an authentic Italian dinner: appetizer followed by pasta, followed by a main course. Antipasto della casa (a popular appetizer) changes with the seasons, but regularly includes items like grilled zucchini, tomato, Atlantic salmon, bocconcini, and a grilled portobello mushroom cap. Second courses include many risotto options (for two people) and a handful of familiar pastas. Mains are mostly grilled meats. Desserts include zabaione (a rich custard with Masala), chocolate profiteroles, torta della nonna, and tiramisu.
Friendly Atmosphere
The atmosphere at Coppi Ristorante is unpredictable. At times, it is quiet and romantic, at others, when families gather, it is more boisterous. Despite that, one thing is always constant: the staff treats everyone like family.
