Crave authentic Greek fare without breaking the bank? Head to Colossus of Rhodes Greek Cuisine for an unforgettable evening fit for the whole family. If you love variety when it comes to dining then you’ve come to the right place! This restaurant’s menu is one of the most extensive around. Enjoy a decadent dish with a glass of wine from an award-winning Greek wine list or sit back, relax, and sip on an ouzo. Opa!
Do the Dip
Colossus’ appetizer menu features a handful of healthy salads loaded with peppers, virgin olive oil, kalamata olives and feta cheese directly imported from Greece. Regulars adore the Socrates salad brimming with artichokes, sun dried tomatoes, parmesan and oregano croutons in a garlic dressing. Or how about the calamari rings served with sautéed peppers? Escargot cooked in sweet butter, garlic and white wine is simply divine. Same with massive shareable portions of delicately made dips. A must try is babaghanoush (a mixture of chickpeas, eggplant, tomato and garlic), taramosalata (red caviar, potato and onion), and piperia (roasted red pepper, feta and garlic).
If you love lamb then you are in luck. Colossus serves up mouthwatering portions of the tender meat marinated in olive oil, garlic and oregano. A must try is the lamb tenderloin with artichokes, grilled veggies and lemon potatoes served on a bed of rice pilaf with a lemon dill cream sauce. Huge portions of grilled chicken and salmon souvlaki also strike a chord. On the menu you’ll also find a handful of stuffed chicken drizzled with delicately prepared sauces. The stuffed chicken breast with feta, spinach and red peppers topped with house made lemon sauce is divine. No matter what you order, you can’t go wrong.
