It’s hard to forget a trip to Europe; the culture, the architecture, the history, the people, the food… Anyone who has had a taste of European treats abroad knows how hard it can be to return to a McVitie’s-less land. Thankfully, The Chocolate Box offers patrons an edible slice of Europe everyday.
Decadent Desserts
As you might guess from the name, The Chocolate Box is a popular spot for customers with a sweet tooth. That’s why such a large section of their merchandise is devoted to dessert. You’ll find cookies, crackers, wafers and digestives from McVitie’s, Jacobs, and Marks & Spencer. The shop also carries stacks of chocolate from Cadbury, Nestle, Quality Street, and Duncan’s. You can even find Walnut Whips and a selection of Thornton’s line of diabetic chocolates, nougats and bars of Turkish delight. If you go for the savoury over the sweet, there are plenty of crisps and salty snacks like Taytos and Walkers chips (including lamb & mint flavour). Whatever your choice, wash it all down with a bottle of Rowntree’s.
Supper Staples
Of course, one cannot live on dessert alone. That’s why The Chocolate Box also carries traditional groceries including soups, teas, spreads, condiments, jellies, sauces, gravies, pie mixes and more. You’ll even find health foods like Nairn’s oatcakes. Of special note for all of those who mourned the day Marks & Spencer closed its doors in malls across Canada, The Chocolate Box carries a variety of the UK grocer’s trademark mainstays.
