Fully Baked Delights
This cake and dessert haven distinguishes itself through the use of natural ingredients, including signature Belgian chocolate. Starting out as a wholesale business, the retail outlet was opened in response to the reputation Chocolada products had garnered around North Toronto and beyond. Providing trays of pastries, cookies, bourekas, knishes, foccacio and other baked goods is still part of the business, in addition to serving those strolling in off the street for a sweet supplement to a coffee, or a box of decadence for home. Sugar free, gluten free or non-dairy options can be ordered in advance as well.

Mouth-Melting Delicacies
All kinds of cake designs have been mastered here, with edible birthday graphics customized for every generation – from the traditionally square shaped, to ones in the form of purses, hats, flowers and musical instruments. Sport, cartoon and storybook motifs are suitable for kids, and more dignified designs are made to order for christenings and confirmations, bar and bat mitzvahs and baby and bridal showers. The all-important wedding cake can be crafted here, taking whatever form suits the personality of the celebrants. Cake shapes ranging from animals to buildings to modes of transportation are all plausible.

Chocolate in extremis
The flavors range from the familiar standbys, like Amaretto Mocha, Black Forest and Caramel Crunch, to the more exotic: Gateau Saint Honore (layers of puff pastry with vanilla custard, topped with cream puffs, whipped cream and chocolate mousse or fresh fruit), Profiterole Tower (a tower of vanilla filled cream puffs glazed in dark chocolate), and Skazka (a Swiss roll with chocolate butter cream, decorated with buttercream icing). Mousse is whipped up with the taste of black currant, mango, pear caramel, summer berry, chocolate strawberry or just plain chocolate. Not to mention the chocolate brownie, chocolate lemon, chocolate walnut, chocolate orange Grand Mariner, and the aptly named Chocolate Tornado.
