Spice Up Your Lunch
Appetizers include deep-fried favourites like pakoras, tandoori-style lamb kebabs and kerela crab cakes seasoned with mustard, ginger and chillies. For lunch, choose one of a handful of tandoori or curry dishes. Chicken tikka, lamb kebabs and the popular Jingha glazed with cilantro butter; Gulf of Mexico shrimps coated and cooked in a cream of yogurt and spices.
For dinner, you have your choice of seafood, vegetarian, poultry, lamb or beef options done on the grill, tandoori-style or wrapped in roti. You’ll find traditional tikka, curry, masala, and vindaloo dishes, but you can also opt for meals like the cilantro-mint chicken or the mushroom curry; a plate that combines an assortment of exotic fungi in a mild, creamy curry sauce. Sides include naan, paratha, chutneys, raita, pickles and different flavoured rices. If you come with a group that’s in the mood for sampling, try one of Chakra’s multi-diner prix fixe dinners and get a taste of a few different dishes. Chakra also has a long list of wines, martinis, cocktails, beer, specialty coffees and non-alcoholic drinks including mango shakes and lassis.
