You might not know it to look at the pub’s dark exterior, but Celtes is the kind of place celebrities go to hang out. Bruce Willis spent time in the bar when it served as a set for the film 16 Blocks. Ditto Robert Downey Jr. when Celtes served as the background for scenes in Charlie Bartlett.
Grab a Guinness
They probably couldn’t call themselves Celtes Pub if they didn’t carry Guinness. That’s why you’ll always find this thick, creamy Irish beer on tap. If stout isn’t your kind of beer, you can order yourself a Keith’s, Moosehead, Amsterdam, Carlsberg or Labatt Blue. Celtes also mixes cocktails and serves straight shots and house wine. As for food, you can’t order full-on meals at Celtes Pub, but there are definitely bar snacks on the menu. Try the nacho platter, fries, or Celtes’ chicken wings, dressed to your specifications in honey garlic, hot, or mild wing sauce, and served alongside blue cheese dressing.
Entertainment for the masses
Celtes Pub hosts the occasional band on the weekend, but if there’s no music when you stop by, there are plenty of other options to keep you entertained. The Pub has a few pool tables, television sets so you can keep an eye on the game, and a jukebox. The basement level of the bar can accommodate up to eighty people, making it the perfect size for a small party. Contact management about renting the space for a birthday, corporate party or just a giant get-together.
