Bank On It
The white and taupe décor, delectable cuisine and impeccable service add up to memorable meals. The delicate appetizers, lavish mains and tempting desserts are made with the finest ingredients. The appetizer menu features slow-braised rabbit ravioli, sautéed escargots and sherry-based Woodland mushroom soup. Grilled octopus, cured salmon and sea scallops are among the seafood starters. Foie gras, crayfish soup and sautéed frog legs are also designed to accompany the mains.

Celestin’s dinner menu is small but selective, including a different vegetarian dish each day. Butter-based sweet Nova Scotia lobster, confit of duck leg, pan-seared giant prawns and pan-seared yellow pickerel are a few of the featured items. Roasted Quebec-farmed squab, Saskatchewan lamb sirloin and venison dishes also come fully dressed, with sauces freshly prepared each hour in the kitchen.

Celestin offers its share of unique dessert items along with an assorted cheese tray. Warm apple, huckleberry and walnut tartlets, baked soft chicory cream, a pistachio floating island and lemon mascarpone mousse are among the seductive sweets. A chocolate tasting is also available to end each meal. The restaurant’s front room offers complete privacy for groups, and the neighbouring Le Comptoire de Celestin bakes fresh French bread, pastries and viennoiserie.
