The Cedar Highlands Ski Club makes it easier for urbanites to hit the slopes as frequently as their hearts desire. Nestled in the Hockley Valley – and literally just off of Hockley Road – Cedar Highlands Ski Club is a great place for promoting healthy living through adventurous skiing and snowboarding for all ages and all skill levels. The seasonal skier is at home with the most seasoned on the Cedar Highlands Ski Club’s 21 runs. The runs range from beginner level to double black diamond with everything in between. Barbecues, a snack bar and a diner serving hot home cooked meals makes it easy to unwind indoors also after a long, cold time on the slopes. The onsite McMaster Sports Ski Shop offers rentals and sales of skis, snowboards, other gear and attire.
Actively Family Oriented
Cedar Highlands Ski Club encourages such excursions through their favourable family rates. Friendly to snowboarders also, even the younger types who find skiing just a bit passé are engaged in the outdoor sports on the slopes of Cedar Highlands Ski Club. Safety is encouraged and promoted at all times and daycare facilities are provided on site for families with younger kids who don’t want to miss a single chance to hit the slopes each winter. Their chalet is two storeys high and houses change rooms, washrooms, dining facilities and lounge areas that can seat up to 200 guests.
Competition Not Discouraged
Cedar Highlands Ski Club is a members only club and carries all of the benefits that come with that title. Less crowds, state of the art grooming and snowmaking, inclusive private lessons and racing programs and a social life are all amenities that are available. That said, programs are offered in racing and ski school for non-member also so those interested should not be afraid of contacting Cedar Highlands to see if they might not be able to take something from their excellent facilities also.
