Founder Herb Caplan started this business appliances store as a radio sales/repair shop in the 1930s. Since then, its grown into a much larger business, selling large appliances. Moving his shop from Bathurst and Eglinton to Weston Road in 1953, Caplan wanted to deliver quality products and great service to his customers while keeping costs as low as possible. Today, Caplan’s is still run by the family that created it, and they still feature brand name products as well as their dedication to keeping costs low.
Massive selection
Inside their Weston Road location, you’ll find pretty much everything you will ever need in a kitchen. Model kitchens have been setup through the building, making this a true showroom and not just a warehouse for clearance items. See beautiful refrigerators by big names like Jenn-Air, KitchenAid and Sub-zero as they would look in place. You’ll also find dishwashers by Miele and Bosch, washers and dryers by Whirlpool, not to mention smaller items like microwaves by Panasonic. Oh yeah, and the prices are some of the lowest you will find on the market.
