Beer Lovers’ Paradise
If you’ve ever played the game where you imagine what you’d choose as your last meal, and choose “beer, beer, and more beer,” Volo is the place for you. The bar has an incredible selection of local and imported beer, both on tap and in bottles. Volo is all about local tastes, and the majority of its menu features beer, wine, and cheese made right here in Ontario.

Staggering Selection
Volo offers over 200 types of beer, from local favourites like Mill Street to those with more unique flavours, like Phillips Black Toque, a double chocolate porter, and Unibroue Quelque Chose, a wild cherry beer from Montreal. Most of the 200 beers are available in bottles, some sized for one, and others that are meant to share. The bar has 12 taps, which change every day, so there’s always something new to try. The best option for those looking for variety is the “sample trio”: three small glasses of any beer on tap. Volo is also famous around the beer circuit for its cask beer, which is also known as “real ale” because it is unfiltered and unpasteurized, and its $5 pint special on Mondays.

Huge Wine List
Volo’s wine list is equally astounding. Over 100 types of VQA reds, whites, blends, sparkling, and ice wines are available. Volo doesn’t have a wine list, it has a wine binder, complete with notes about alcohol content and a style index. Select wines are available by the glass and like beer, wine is available in a sample trio.

Italian Menu
Know what goes great with wine? Cheese! Volo’s slim menu includes a variety of appetizer platters, or “boards”, featuring local artisan cheese, olives, and meats. Or, keep the cheese theme going and opt for a Quattro fromaggio pizza. There are also salads, pastas, and sandwiches to choose from, including Volo’s gourmet burger.
