The interior is black cast, with a large juice and coffee bar along the far wall, displaying tasty treats and sumptuous desserts. Seating for two forms tight columns from front to back, and at the height of lunchtime, tables are situated so close together that you could elbow the stranger next to you. This, however, does attest to the restaurant’s popularity and it is clear that customers aren’t bothered by the snug fit. Singles can enjoy their snacks at the bar window which overlooks Yonge Street. In the summertime the large side patio offers more space, where one can enjoy Caffe Doria’s cuisine under the peaceful branch of a tree.

With 11 different pizza, panino, and salad dishes, it seems that this is the cardinal number. The selection of thin crust, gourmet pizzas suitable for one, is a mixture of tradition and innovation. The Roxborough is topped with salami, prosciutto and chili peppers, while the Starbuck combines sliced tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini and mushrooms. Doria’s own pizza is dressed with chicken, roasted red peppers and black olives. Panini, too, are offered in a wide variety, with the classic ham and swiss, as well as the Calabrese with salami, provolone and mixed greens. Salad lovers should delight in the choices of fruit, Caesar, tuna, arugula, Greek and smoked salmon options.
