Multi-Concept Space
Black Line is a four-concept Studio—one part art gallery, one part tattoo/piercing parlour, one part clothing outlet and one part jewelry shop. Of all of these, it looks the least like a tattoo parlour. From the street, the windows are filled with mannequins sporting high-end urban fashions from LA and New York designers like SMET, Rockstar Clothing, William Rast Jeans and Ed Hardy. The interior is accented by glass doors. The floor is hardwood. Furniture is sleek and modern. The walls are painted a brilliant white and decorated with rotating art exhibits. Glass cabinets display high quality jewelry, not the plastic day-glo stuff you find at the mall. Black Line carries silver and gold accessories of all kinds, including earrings, bracelets, necklaces, tongue rings and more.

The Top of Their Game
So far, their approach is succeeding wildly. Since opening in 2005, Black Line has been nominated for Cadillac Fairview’s ARC awards (for outstanding achievement in new retail concepts) every single year. Their tattoo artists and piercers treat their work with a fine arts-style appreciation and attention to detail. You can choose from a wide selection of in-house designs, bring in an image for reproduction, or collaborate with an artist on something completely unique. Be sure to pick up all-natural aftercare from H2Ocean—the official treatment choice of Black Line. If you’re not looking for a new tattoo, but instead, are interested in removing an old one, Black Line Studio can help you out there too. The parlour uses completely non-hazardous, advanced laser technology to remove existing tattoos. Ask to see examples of covered or removed work.
