Something New in Little Italy
Once known for martinis and pasta, the College street strip is growing up, and international flavours are moving in. Bite Noodles and Rice is located in the heart of Little Italy, and like its neighbours, is a smartly designed and minimalist boite, but unlike the typical restos in the area, Bite serves spicy home-style Asian dishes with modern flair. The restaurant is owned by a Thai and Chinese brother and sister team.

Bit of Everything
Bite’s menu is built around Chinese and Thai flavours. Most dishes are either rice or noodle based. Signature dishes on the rice side of the menu include the Thai yellow curry chicken and Asian sefaood paella with fish, shrimp, calamari, and mussels. Bite’s menu also features numerous appetizers, including five types of Vietnamese soft rolls, dumplings, and sesamiso beans. For lunch, check out the rice boxes, which come packed with a Thai roll, salad, and choice of main dish. Bite is a smart choice for vegetarians. There are several tofu-based alternatives and meat-free options throughout the menu.

Asian-Inspired Cocktail List
If you find yourself trolling Little Italy for a place to kick back with a drink, Bite could be just the ticket. The restaurant has an enviable list of designer martinis and cocktails with subtle Asian influences, including the Shanghai Tang, with sake, peach schnapps and real marmalade, and the lychee mojito. For a warm pick-me-up with out the alcohol, try Bite’s invigorating ginger tea.
