The most exquisite, fresh, hand-made molded chocolates are prepared daily at the Belgian Chocolate Shop, from the freshest ingredients without preservatives, allowing customers to enjoy chocolates made only hours ago rather than weeks or months beforehand. Belgian chocolates are molded shells with soft fillings, like whipped butter cream, praline, ganache, or caramel.
The Belgian Chocolate Shop’s offerings are molded with the finest imported dark, milk or white chocolate, with fillings made with fresh butter and cream, real liqueurs and fresh nuts. The orange peels are imported from France, branded cherries and real almond paste are brought over from Germany, and candied ginger comes from Australia. The proprietors also return to Belgium each year in search of fresh inspiration, new ingredient sources, and ideas for innovative packaging. Boxed selections, nut clusters, chocolate bars, chocolate golf balls, chocolate cigars, teddy bear chocolates, tins and theme boxes are among the gift ideas.
Designs from The Belgian Chocolate Shop include animal shapes, caramel, citrone, champagne and framboise flavours. Amaretto, Grand Marnier, Irish cream, mint, rum and scotch flavours are also popular fixtures. Massepain is dark chocolate with almond paste, Panier includes ground caramelized nuts in hazelnut cream, and Tresor is a white chocolate with truffle cream. Easter eggs and shells are available year-round, while a nut cluster has a chocolate puddle covered in hazelnuts, cashews, Brazil nuts, pecans, pistachios and silvered almonds. Sugarless truffle chocolates are made fresh with assorted furnishes.
