From Hobbies to Work
Aviation World began as a small mail-order business for flight crew supplies, but now reaches aviation professions to flying enthusiasts. The store stocks over 7,000 books, a huge selection of collectibles, clothing, and hobby supplies but it doesn’t stop there. You can also find GPS devices, flight simulation software and, one of the store’s most popular items, Bose Aviation Headsets.

And We Have Lift-Off
Started in 1967 by former pilot Len Neath, the store quickly moved from its founder’s basement to its current 4,000 square foot location right by Toronto’s Pearson Airport. If you had any doubt in your mind where you were, looking down at the floor of the grandiose space will clear it. There you will find a long, black runway that extends along the ground between the shelves of aviation gear and books.

A Fitting Location
Being located right next to the airport is a dream come true for many of Aviation World’s customers, both young and old alike. After they browse through the countless books and models and come out of the store with a purchase that would make any plane-lover proud, many stop in the parking lot to take in the view. Without much effort, customers can see planes both land and take off, making a stop to Aviation World an all-around experience for anyone who has ever wanted to get behind the controls of a flying machine.
