This chic, sparsely designed boutique is home to some very stylish, very modern fashions. With pine floors and stark white walls, the Anne Hung Boutique is right at home among the posh dress shops of Queen Street West. Hung, a Ryerson University fashion graduate, has also worked in New York, and has created this Toronto boutique to exclusively showcase her dress collection. The frocks you’ll find here are mostly of the formal to semi-formal variety. That doesn’t mean they’re dull, though. Big bold colours are par for the course and they contrast nicely with the distinctive classic cuts of the gowns.
More Than Meets the Eye
Many women may be frustrated by stores that only sell size 0 to 12, but Hung keeps a wide selection of larger sizes in stock, so there’s literally something for everyone. The staff is very friendly, and rumour has it that Hung herself is often around in the shop to help out. Despite the fancy look of the gowns and party dresses, the prices are very reasonable. Any and all alterations are done on premises.
